Get up!


 "Be sad but get up. You don’t have to shower. You can put on the same clothes you wore yesterday or stay in your pajamas. Nobody will care. The sky is blue, wildflowers are blooming by the side of the road. Strangers have stories to tell. Go for a walk, go for a drive, go to a greenhouse, a bookstore, a movie theater. You can stay in bed but nothing is going to happen there. Sometimes you’ve really just got to get the hell up." I know it hurts the pain you feel but you must get up to try and live. If you don't you will just be forgotten like all the rest. Don't become a memory, live like God made you for and go out shine your light into the world

How appropriate my 48th post on my 48th birthday

So today is my 48th birthday and my one goal was to have 50 blogs written and posted. It looks like I didn't achieve that goal as this is my 48th blog. I thought how appropriate to be writing my 48th on my 48th. Maybe I did reach my goal, if I can get two more posts in before midnight technically that would still count, right? Anyways you ask how does it feel to be almost a half a century year old? I don't feel any different and I really don't look any different other then maybe more tired. Goodbye September, Hello October

 How is it possible that today day is the last day of September? I will go to sleep and wake up to the first day of October. I can say I'm ready for the fall and colder months. Which is crazy to think 3 more of them and it's going to be a whole new year! Time needs to slow down or maybe it's me that needs to? I love this time of year as the evening's are cooler and I can sit out on the porch or lay in my hammock and enjoy the evening. The sounds of nature all around and seeing the beauty of God's creations. Plus it's Fall Festivals, Arts and Crafts shows, evening drives with the windows down, football on tv, I mean really there is lots to do in the fall. There is a few things I would like to do different or maybe have during this time of year but I have to have faith that God will eventually see to it. 4th of July 2025

 One of my favorite holidays has come and gone for another year. Things were a little different this year as my peeps that I go with to watch the fireworks didn't come due to having almost 6 month old twins at home. So I helped the church give out hot dogs and then my child and one of her friends spent time at the beach. Later we went and sat up on the damn and watched the fireworks. This was the end of a tradition but the start of a new one. Next year it will be home in our pool with close friends. Cooking out and doing our own fireworks show.
