Are you like this car?

 

Saturday evening on March 31st my kid and I were driving down the road and the car in front of us was pretty banged up in the back. It had duck tape holding the back bumper on, the trunk was smashed in and there was clear tape over the tail lights and both were broken and smashed in.

My kid says, that car looks like it has had it rough, it's so banged up that they had to put tape on it to keep it together but it's still running.

I say yep that's pretty bad but you're not wrong.

My Kid without missing a beat says kind of like your life sometimes.

I just started laughing, then I thought about that for a moment and end up saying you're not wrong, it also got me thinking about all the things I have been through but knowing I wouldn't have been able to if it hadn't been for God and knowing Jesus. I could tell you stories that would break your heart but we all got them. We all have had to or will face something that we never thought we would survive. We have all been in the darkness but when you're barely hanging on make sure it's the hem of Jesus. Like that car you may be banged up and broken but God  loves you anyways. God loves us so much that He sent His son Jesus to die for us. To take our sin and wash us clean. So the next time you're in the valley walking through the mud and muck with the storms raging all around and it's dark and you can't see the light remember this: keep your mind, eyes and words on the one that made you and pray and worship without ceasing and have faith that you will see the light again, you will stand on that mountain top and all will be clear and calm. Life is not easy but it's so worth it when you walk it with Jesus.
