My 49th Birthday week 🥳


 I had another wonderful year celebrating my birthday with family and friends. It started on my birthday July 1st. I went into work and my co-worker/best friend had a birthday balloon tied to my locker and a gift bag with some super cute outfits. Then I had lots of people calling, texting, messaging and writing on my FB wall to wish me a happy birthday. Next came an evening out to play Bingo with a few of the girls. Even though none of us won I got to enjoy a good hot dog, some good snacks and good company. Then my kid bought me flowers, a Hershey's chocolate cake and a card. She paid for it all with her own money from her job. She even wrote a super sweet note inside the card. Next came volunteering for the church at Balboa Beach on the 4th of July. There were train rides, hot dogs, chips, drinks and popsicles. Pastor G even bought us all ice cream. Then later that evening a few of us went swimming and then sat up on the spillway and watch the fireworks. The weekend was filled with going shopping for our new pet turtle named pickles who will be a part of our mini farm. 19 chickens and four dogs. Then it was off to see the new Jurassic Park Movie. Then to top off the week my other best friend, her 6 month old twins and I went to Little Rock today. We ran some errands, and had a terrific lunch at Mama's Gyro's in Sherwood, then had an ice coffee from the Dark Side Coffee CO lounge and then stopped to sit in a BIG chair! Lots of people don't like to get older but since my 30's every birthday has been amazing! I am truly grateful and blessed to have the people I do in my life. They sure know how to make a girl feel special and loved. Can't wait to see what 50 brings! Thank You all for a wonderful, fantastic week and I love each and everyone of you💕

So today is my 48th birthday and my one goal was to have 50 blogs written and posted. It looks like I didn't achieve that goal as this is my 48th blog. Goodbye September, Hello October

 How is it possible that today day is the last day of September? I will go to sleep and wake up to the first day of October. I can say I'm ready for the fall and colder months. Which is crazy to think 3 more of them and it's going to be a whole new year! Time needs to slow down or maybe it's me that needs to? I love this time of year as the evening's are cooler and I can sit out on the porch or lay in my hammock and enjoy the evening. The sounds of nature all around and seeing the beauty of God's creations. Plus it's Fall Festivals, Arts and Crafts shows, evening drives with the windows down, football on tv, I mean really there is lots to do in the fall. There is a few things I would like to do different or maybe have during this time of year but I have to have faith that God will eventually see to it. 4th of July 2025

 One of my favorite holidays has come and gone for another year. Things were a little different this year as my peeps that I go with to watch the fireworks didn't come due to having almost 6 month old twins at home. So I helped the church give out hot dogs and then my child and one of her friends spent time at the beach. Later we went and sat up on the damn and watched the fireworks. This was the end of a tradition but the start of a new one. Next year it will be home in our pool with close friends. Cooking out and doing our own fireworks show.
