What can I say it's been a day!


 So I woke up this morning and actually had extra time to get ready and spend some time in the quiet stillness. I grab my keys, start my car and threw out a bag of trash. I get in my car and it shows key undetected so I feel in my pockets and it's not there. So I go all through my car and decide I must have left them in the house. So in I go to look for them, now by this time I am now running late. I look everywhere and can't find them. So my plan at this point is to drive to work and then have my kid pick me up when I get off and go home to look some more. Remind you I only have one set as my other set have been misplaced now for 5 years! As I start to drive down the road I hear a voice that tells me to go look in the trash bag I just put in the trash can. So now I'm definitely going to be late for work. I turn around and get out of the car and get out the trash bag and open it. I start to go through it when low and behold there are my keys! So now off to work I go. I get to work and it's a fast pace, crazy busy kind of day! I hit my head not once not twice but three times on the corner of the cabinet. I almost fall because I got tangled up in my own feet and I spill water all over me, it seems like life is out to get me. So I start saying in my head and a couple of times out loud Not Today satan Not Today! I just stop for a minute right in the middle of doing my job and close my eyes, raise my hands up and take a deep breath. I say in my head Thank You Lord for all you do for me and all that you will do for me. I realize it's not a bad life or day it's just a few speed bumps I needed to over come and I'm actually very blessed. I think about all this and come to the conclusion that I must not run everywhere but slow down, smell the flowers and enjoy life. It also teaches me to have faith and I'm not in control but the Heavenly Father is and that I am thankful for!

    "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". 
  • Romans 8:28: 
    "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose". 
  • Psalm 23:4: 
    "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me". 
  • Deuteronomy 31:8: 
    "It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed".

How appropriate my 48th post on my 48th birthday

So today is my 48th birthday and my one goal was to have 50 blogs written and posted. It looks like I didn't achieve that goal as this is my 48th blog. I thought how appropriate to be writing my 48th on my 48th. Maybe I did reach my goal, if I can get two more posts in before midnight technically that would still count, right? Goodbye September, Hello October

 How is it possible that today day is the last day of September? I will go to sleep and wake up to the first day of October. I can say I'm ready for the fall and colder months. Which is crazy to think 3 more of them and it's going to be a whole new year! Time needs to slow down or maybe it's me that needs to? I love this time of year as the evening's are cooler and I can sit out on the porch or lay in my hammock and enjoy the evening. The sounds of nature all around and seeing the beauty of God's creations. Plus it's Fall Festivals, Arts and Crafts shows, evening drives with the windows down, football on tv, I mean really there is lots to do in the fall. There is a few things I would like to do different or maybe have during this time of year but I have to have faith that God will eventually see to it. As I have gotten older and been through many hard situations I don't take this time lightly. I try and enjoy every day and moment I can. My heart does get sad...

4th of July 2025

 One of my favorite holidays has come and gone for another year. Things were a little different this year as my peeps that I go with to watch the fireworks didn't come due to having almost 6 month old twins at home. So I helped the church give out hot dogs and then my child and one of her friends spent time at the beach. Later we went and sat up on the damn and watched the fireworks. This was the end of a tradition but the start of a new one. Next year it will be home in our pool with close friends. Cooking out and doing our own fireworks show.
